    Hello from Raphy (Raphael)

I had my labrador today, I named him Raphael (Raphy) , He's just 5 or 6 weeks old
I don't know what to do, this is my first time petting, I hope we could get along and the experts would help me. My problem is that he keeps on pissing in pooping in our carpet.

    Welcome

at 5-6 weeks old the puppy has zero control of his bladder. it's your job as the human to take him to his potty area (outside or puppy pads) every 30-40 minutes during the day to relieve themselves. He will start getting control as he ages but nothing concrete until closer to 12 weeks. Reward big time when he goes where you want him to (outside/puppy pad) and clean accidents with odour neutralizing product like vinegar (or if there are products at stores for dog urine in your area).

I realize there may be cultural differences, but puppies removed from their litters that early lose out on a LOT of learning from their littermates about dog-dog language and bite inhibiting. Since you have him so early you are more likely to have a harder time with puppy nipping and such.

    Welcome to you and Raphy.
Can't say much more than the great advice Tanya has given other than to have patience and enjoy your new puppy.
    Best Regards- Ron
