She is so adorable and love the name.

Remember, socialization is not only about getting out and about, although that is extremely important. It's also about discovering everything in your home. Let her sniff a pan, look into it, sniff your hair brush, explore the vacuum and mop. There are tons of every day items and situations in the home she should be introduced to. I do that even with my older dogs.

GDA is a great organization. Any SoCal locals, if you want to experience something really moving, attend one of the graduation ceremonies for the dog-handler teams. Not only do the dogs get training, but the people they are paired with also go through a bunch of training.

The reputable Labrador breeder community locally has been very supportive of the good work that GDA does. Many of the dogs there are the product of donated puppies or donated breedings from some amazingly successful show dogs. There's a reason orgs like this use purpose bred dogs in their program vs. shelter pulls or rescues.

Good luck with your GDA puppy! What a great thing to do. The dogs that graduate in this program change peoples' lives for the better!
