Hi All! After 7 years of telling the kids (now 9 and 12) we would get pets once we had our 'forever home', we took the plunge. My husband retired after 22 years in the Coast Guard and the house was (relatively) unpacked. We found a breeder with silver labs and chose one. At pickup time, the cuteness factor was overwhelming and we came home with 2 They are now 18 weeks old. As expected, they are intelligent and energetic. It's like having toddlers again and I definitely need a village to help us raise them! So glad to find this site and all the info I'm sure will come!

Hi and welcome! You have taken quite a plunge bringing 2 home but that’s what we did when we got our first dogs also. Fortunately you have 2 good helpers who should be involved in training and exercising your new little beasts! When you have 5 or more posts, we’d love to see some photos!

Welcome to the board! Looking forward to seeing your new furkids.
welcome! and congrats on the double trouble
I HIGHLY recommend reading up on littermate syndrome and taking steps to avoid it. I know the reading will say "not to" but take the tidbits on how to do it right out of the articles
Two puppies should be treats as two individual puppies. Each puppy having their own one on one training, bonding and socialisation time (as opposed to a "duo" that are always together and treated as a single entity). With all the extra hands in the home it should be easier to manage the seperation Raising littermates to be well rounded adult is absolutely doable and many have, just best to know ahead of time and take the steps to do it right
