      New rescue puppy

      Hello all,
We are new to the forums and just adopted this fine looking 100lb young guy from a local shelter. He is a little shy but has an easygoing personality and already knows basic commands. We are still working on a name (pick up Friday) before he comes home. I was wondering if anyone knows what he looks to be mixed with? We are guessing maybe hound?
We are excited to begin our journey and have been reading posts and gathering great useful information. Thank you all!

      Welcome!

100 lb.? Is that right. He doesn't look that big.

Could be hound...I know someone with a Rhodesian Ridgeback who looks a lot like your boy (in a purebred kind of way). Could be a lot of breeds, too.

If you're thinking of doing a DNA test, I recommend Wisdom Panel. (very satisfied with our results)
