    G'Day from Australia

    G'Day fellow Lab lovers,

I'm new here and wanted to say hello to all the other Labby enthuists. I used to have a black lab named Cleo but she died of cancer and haven't been able to get a new one as yet. I'm looking to make friends and share experiences with fellow lab owners and share our love for these wonderful dogs. I'd be particularly interested in talking with anyone who has had experiences having their labbies as therapy dogs

I saw your other thread first but, sorry again on your loss. We do have some therapy dogs here, they'll be along soon.

Welcome to the board. This is the first post of yours that I've seen. I'm so sorry about the loss of Cleo and hope you find the right pup soon to help ease your heartache.

(Cleo was the name of my chocolate Hershey's black mother...years ago. I've always liked that name.)

    Hello and Welcome!

Saw your other post first. Am so sorry about your loss.

JollyMolly here works with therapy dogs. Our first black lab, Bandit, used to do nursing home visits. He was so intuitive to what each individual needed. He once met a young man who was a quadriplegic in a wheelchair; no feeling in his legs or hands. He "thought" about it for a little bit and next thing I know, he has his paws up on the wheelchair and gave the man a lick on the face, the one place he could feel. I was in tears.

There will come a day when the right set of brown eyes will capture your heart.
