    Amber our new lab puppy

I was a member here years ago when we had our first lab, Ginger. Somehow life got busy with our 2nd lab, Sophie and I didn't get around to posting much. I have rejoined now that we have our new baby named Amber who is 13 weeks old today. After losing Sophie who was blind at death at almost 12 years we didn't know if we would get another dog, but life is lonely without a lab in it so here my husband and are at 70 years old with a new puppy. She is a joy and we will somehow get through the puppy stage and things will settle a little once again.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

I'm so sorry to hear you lost Sophie. But welcome back, there's nothing like a puppy to help repair a broken heart.
