New here - beware of breeder

Hi all! Long time lurker first time poster...

We got our angel Beau a last June. He is a beautiful Chocolate Lab.

I wanted to post to help get the message out about his breeder.

On a brighter note, here is our lovable goofball on his first birthday on 3/28:

And here he is in his preferred sleeping position:

Hi, I'm not one of the moderators but we are not allowed to name and denigrate breeders on this site. Legal issues, you know. I suspect one of the mods will remove your post. You wouldn't be the first to have this happen so don't let that stop you enjoying this group otherwise.

That issue aside, your "goofball" looks like a sweetheart. You should stick around to share your life with Beau and join our lab community! There's a lot of good information, knowledgable owners, and support.

    Thanks for joining.

This is what happens. A breeder gets slammed on the board (true or not true) and my webhost and I get cease and desist letters threatening a lawsuit. My host gets mad at me whenever this happens (which is every time a breeder gets mentioned) and it's not good.

I or them cannot be sued but you can. When they lawyers come looking for ip's and email's etc it gets handed over.

I appreciate your situation. Post your email address and have ask people to email you if they want more information regarding your breeder.

We have a nice forum full of knowledgeable lab and dog people so please don't be mad and please stick around.
    Thanks Everyone!!

So it doesn’t matter that AKC confirmed she didn’t register the litter?

What I am saying is that you are calling somebody out on a public forum and when she sees it I and my host is going to get a lawyers letter and we will be obligated to give up your information.

I had so many of them that we made a rule not to name breeders either recommending them or slamming them.

We ask that all breeder talk be taken to private messages or emails.

People get "sucessfully" sued for Yelp reviews in this day and age and they get "successfully" sued for slamming breeders on forums and social media.

I would say pursue your matters and enjoy your dog. He looks awesome.
    Thanks Everyone!!

Oh I’m not hiding. She knows me and knows what she did. And now AKC knows. But understood.

While you can't mention the breeder, you can definitely ask questions. And No, the AKC doesn't care that the litter wasn't registered. There must have been more to this post that was removed with the breeder name, so I am not sure of the circumstance. We breed and I can tell you that the only reason AKC cares is that they don't get their registration money. First from the breeder and then from the puppy buyers.
