New pup training as service dog

Thanks for having me here. A few months back I lost my beautiful chocolate lab service dog to lyme disease. Beaten up with the loss our grandson told us to put our love for our Cocoa towards a love for a new puppy. He was right. We adopted a silver lab from down south from a high kill shelter. We are in Massachusetts. I have panic and anxiety attacks and having a service dog trained to provide me with deep pressure, alerting me to my attack by pawing at me, giving me space between other people and myself(blocking) and giving me an out to leave a situation are some of the things that the dog will be trained to do. She is just about 4 months old and we feel a little underweight as she was not fed properly as a little puppy. So we start our journey. We have not had a puppy in the house for 10 years and boy are we in for a treat.

Cute pup...so lucky that you rescued her. Hope your journey with her will be as smooth as possible and that she will be helping you "before you know it".

Hello and welcome! I am so very sorry for your loss... it's never easy to lose a beloved pet.

Thank you for rescuing this sweet puppy...I'm sure she came into your life for a lot of reasons. A puppy will certainly bring you a lot of joy and I hope she grows up to be a wonderful service dog for you!

Looking forward to hearing more about her!
