Hi and welcome, Oliver is adorable! Enjoy the calm, some are just born that way. My Maxx was a fairly laid back puppy but I have had the exact opposite in Lab puppies previously. I love them either way. My best advice, enroll in a puppy socialization class ASAP, the sooner the better. It was one of the best things I ever did. And try not to stress so much. Dogs are very intuitive and the best traits you can have with a Lab puppy are lots of patience and consistency. Both will take you and your puppy on a wonderful adventure together!

Welcome. Best advice....give him lots of love.
Welcome! In labs you don't have to fear the 2-3year age bracket, this is when they start to mature and mellow. It's around 6-8 months up to about 2 years that can be challenging.
He's adorable!

I do think most Labs take 2-3 years to fully mature, at least every one I have had has. I do think the first 12-18 months are the most challenging for many and it gets better and better from that point on, IMO. Of course there are always exceptions, my last boy was a crazy puppy until a few days before he suddenly died at 8 y/o. Maxx, on the other hand, was born mellow and well behaved.
