Question Is my labrador a mixed breed?

Hi I am Amlan, I am from India. I brought home my pet from a local pet shop. The guy assured me that the labrador is of good breed. But at that time I had no idea about different breeds of labrador. She is 2.5 years old and has a smaller head and pointy muzzle. Is it a puppy mill dog? Ihave attached the pictures.

I have seen many dogs that look just like yours in the USA. Have no idea if its purebred or puppymill tho.

One thing is for sure - no reputable breeder will ever sell their puppies to pet shops.

Your pup certainly is cute, but not bred to the standard. That doesn't mean you should love her less. But please, don't ever buy a pup from a pet shop again, either search for a reputable breeder or rescue.

Hi and welcome to the board! She looks like a field bred lab to me. What's her name? I agree with Berna, though, usually pet stores are puppy-mill dogs. Unless it's different in India? Next time you get a puppy, research good breeders instead of going to a pet store or online.

Hi.Her name is Snowy. Here there is no puppy mill like USA but the pet shop might get dogs from low quality breeders. I think its a mixed breed.

Hi and welcome! Labs can be and are very different, and it's really difficult to tell from a picture. If I should see just the right picture, I'd probably say a she might even be a mix, on the other hand in the left one she looks like a lab. A profile picture might help, but I don't think it important now - you have her, she has you, you love each other and Snowy's really cute

Hi, yes I have seen so many types and colors. Snowy is very energetic and always happy. It really doesn't matter right now, I love her a lot. And about the pictures I have including two more.

All I can see is one, but the face there looks like a lab to me; can't see the body though and that would probably tell me more. She looks really cute in this one.
