Welcome! Where in SWVA were you from? I'm near Blacksburg.
Hi all... New to the board and recently relocated to High Point, NC from my home for 13 years in Southwest Virginia. Have always been a Lab owner and lover of the breed having in the last years in Virginia lost my precious Katie my sidekick for 17 years.... I am finally settled in to my new Apartment, thankfully pet friendly and ready to start a new journey with a new sidekick. Thinking I would prefer this time to foster a lost soul and give them a loving home they deserve and to give me a loving friend to meet me at the door every day after work. To go walking with and to take along with me fishing on the boat.

Welcome! High Point, huh? No shortage of furniture stores if you need anything! We used to live in the Triangle, maybe again some day. Hope you have good luck finding a new furry friend to keep you company!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Welcome, sorry for the loss of your Katie and wish you luck with a new companion.
Hi and welcome!
Hi and welcome. Really sorry for your loss. 17 is my favorite number and for a lab it's just an amazing age although I'm pretty sure 20 or even 50 wouldn't have been enough as we would like to have them for ever and ever. Good luck on finding another amazing four-legged companion.
