As a new member I think I posted to the wrong forum. I posted to another part and not new member. I am new so please forgive me. My adult black lab mix (looks and act like a full breed) starts biting his back above his butt and paws until he bites all the hair off of them and then even bleeds. The vet told us to use benedrill and to bath him with a special shampoo he provides. It happens every year at this time and goes until the weather cools down in the fall. We live in North Carolina and our dog is an inside dog except for walking and playing in the yard. He does get flea medication. Does any other owner have this problem and if they do, what do you do to make you dog comfortable. Our Jeter is about 70 lbs and any help on dosage of benedrill or any other medication is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeter's Family
