    New here!

    Hello!

I'm going to be a proud owner of a chocolate lab in 3 years (if all goes well)! I'm here to do some research in the time before I get one and try to become the best possible owner I can.

I apologize in advance for some of the questions I ask if they seem obvious and I hope to learn as much as I can while here!

    Thanks for having me!

(Also, I accidentally made another account on here, my computer spazzed and I didn't think I made an account so I apologize)

    Thanks guys!

And I forgot to ask this in the first post, but is it okay to ask about breeder recommendations? I'm having trouble finding a right breeder and all. (I also jumped the gun and made a thread, I forgot I didn't ask aha).

i replied to you post with some links.

no we cannot name a breeder on the board, but they can be recommended via PM. Make sure to reasearch any recommend breeder yourself to ensure the breeder does all teh required things.

You need 10 posts or so to receive a PM so go ahead and participate to get your post count up.

    Thanks!

I'll make sure to research them by reading up on testimonials and emailing them with some questions

That's true! I'd like it if the breeder keeps in contact with the owner of one of the puppies they bred. Shows that they really care haha

Testimonials on breeder websites really don't mean squat. Decide what type of lab you like and go to some dog shows and meet some breeders.

this is what i was thinking. if someone likes their dog they will PM you and rave about their dog. Few people will reach out to say "don't go with this breeder". And if the breeder is giving you the names of people (or it's on their website) then of course they are only going to pick the people who are happy
