New Member, not new to labs

    Hi all,
I am new to this forum but not new to labs! I have a 10 year old (almost 11) American standard chocolate lab, Maya. She was my only child until we adopted Molly, a 14-month old English/American lab. We've had Molly a week. My husband is retired military and home with the dogs most of the day. The girls are getting along OK, some snarls but otherwise okay. Molly is a challenge. She was mostly an outside dog and didn't even have a name these past 14 months. It's like dealing with a full-sized puppy! We are in for a ride!

Welcome! Sad to know someone had a pup for that long and did nothing with her. I'm sure with a lot of time and effort she will turn into a really great dog. If there are any classes available close by I'd definitely recommend doing some, will help greatly with training and socializing the pup!

Hi, welcome and thank you for giving Molly a real home Fourteen months without a name; it's crazy! Good luck with the training, and please share more pictures of your girls.

For some reason, the picture attached sideways and I can't change it. Oh well! The dog on the bottom is Maya and the dog on the top is Molly. Molly thinks she's top dog, but Maya would disagree.

They called her "B" but she never even responded to it. Two days of calling her Molly and she knew her name. We are going to enroll her in training. It's been over 10 years since we trained Maya so I'm a little rusty.

    Hello and Welcome!

Thank you so much for giving Molly the home she always deserved. Both your girls are beautiful. Maya will help teach Molly.
