New Here & New to Labs

Hi everyone. We will be brining home our new beautiful yellow lab (male) this Saturday. I have loved labs all my life and one is finally joining our family. Although my husband grew up with 2 labs and a golden, I am new to labs and big dogs in general (we have a 9 year old female yorkie/pomeranian). I've been educating myself on the breed since we decided to get one and I'm so happy I found this forum. Looking forward to getting to know all of you. I welcome any tips for a first time lab mom. Thanks.

    welcome and congrats

I echo the patience and getting some extra sleep ahead of time I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend a good puppy class to get some support and a safe place to socialize your puppy beofre they haev all their shots. And maybe take a peeek at the puppy training advice to get an idea of issues most puppy owners run into

Hi and welcome. I too am a first time lab owner, we got him at 8 weeks and he is now 3 years old and he is the the love of my life. The puppy and teen stages are definitely trying, so I echo the patience, puppy school and reading all you can.Congratulations and enjoy!!
