Former member dipping toes back in....

I am a former member of this board. My dogs were Penny and Shadow. After losing Shadow in January 2013, I needed time for my heart to heal. It took until this Fall until I really felt ready to open my heart and home to another fur baby. And what an absolute joy she is. We picked her up on Sunday and she turned 8 weeks yesterday. Her Mom is a Golden and Dad is a a Yellow lab. This was an unintended breeding. The family took in the Golden when Dad was deployed to Afghanistan. They had paperwork that showed the a Golden was spade but it either did not take or.......

Anyhow, Maisie was one of the glorious results!

    Happy to be back!

Hi and welcome back! Sometimes a heart needs to heal and aren't you glad it took all this time? Maisie looks like the sweetest little girl! We can't wait to hear more!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Welcome back! I remember you were around when I had joined the board the first time. I think you had a black and white photo for your avatar... I can't really remember it, but I rememer that I used to really like it.
(For some reason I can't see anybody's pictures when I'm logged on with my phone, so if the same picture is up now and I sound crazy saying I can't quite remember it, you'll have to excuse me!)

Welcome back. Maisie is such a cutie-pie. I've always liked that name for a yellow girl.

Welcome back, so glad your heart opened to another. Maisie is an absolute sweetie. What a beautiful face. I know she will help fill that hole that is still in your heart.

You know the drill-lots of pictures and stories of Maisie will be required.

So happy for you at this special time of year.
