    I'm pretty sure I got a Dudley....

I never even heard of a Dudley....... however I am perfectly fine with it. Our baby girl is so beautiful. She came from 2 chocolate labs.
The litter had all chocolate pups with the exception of 1yellow male and 1 yellow female and we chose the female yellow.

Inside the house she looks more normal colors, but in the sun she almost glows (fur and eyes).... It had my wife freaked out at first until I read up on the Dudley's....

Oh my, look at those striking eyes. I wonder if they will turn brown? I'd be wanting them to stay green. Do they look that green in real life? Gee, women buy contact lenses to get that colour. She's a beauty.

Yes they are bright green. Very unusual and beautiful. She is teething and chewing (9weeks old) and attacking us ! LOL We are trying to get that in check.

Beautiful! I am also wondering if the eye color will darken or remain.

Yes, she's a true Dudley (lacking pigment round mouth and eyes), and her eyes should stay that way. She lovely.

Here is an older true Dudley, with similar eyes:

Yep. She's a chocolate-pigmented yellow. My first lab was just like that. His eyes eventually got more hazel as he matured.

    She's beautiful!

When I was a baby my parents got a puppy from a neighbor with an accidental litter (this was 1978 - oh boy I just dated myself). He was a mix of all sorts of things, but he had that lovely liver pigmentation in his nose and eyes and mouth. My parents named him Dudley (after Dudley Do-Right) and it was years later, after that dog passed at the ripe old age of 18, that we learned about the term dudley and what it meant. I've always thought that was a funny coincidence.

Cabo is a Dudley. I didn't have him as a puppy, so not sure what his eyes looked like then. They are now yellow.
