[QUOTE=Jenjen2626;108295]I have up on the crate when he grew out of his smaller crate. I am going to get one for him to retry. Unfortunately, I cannot get him into a class at PetSmart until mid Feb. In the meantime I'm trying all suggestions! Someone else has mentioned keeping him leashed to me in the house. I haven't tried yet, my main goal has been teaching him drop it. He tests me still! But he is getting it! I knew he was smart, and I think that's his problem, a little too smart. Hahaha I have also tried to increase his activity outside off leash which seems to help. Thank you for your suggestions![/QUOTE/]
If he's attached to you, it will allow you to easily enforce "drop it, leave it or give". Right now he is playing a game and is winning. He's old enough to know these things, but is testing you, and he's winning. You should give a command one time and he does not comply you need to make an instant correction. He's at that age that you need to teach him it's what you want not what he wants.
