Obviously I'm not in your neck of the woods...but wanted to say congratulations on your new baby and welcome to the board!
Hello everyone!!!
i have enjoyed reading as many posts as possible. I will be picking up my puppy in a few weeks and have been preparing. I live in Southern California's, San Fernado valley and am looking for a vetanarian who has experience with Labradors. Any help will be grateful and I look forward adding more posts when my baby girl comes home.
Thank you in advance
Kevin

Ozzy - 10/2002 - 06/2011 - Rest well my sweet boy. You are forever remembered, forever missed, forever in my heart.
Me neither, not close at all. Wanted to welcome you to the board and anxious to see pictures of your new pup.
You can make an appointment with vet's offices to in essence interview them. Talk with neighbors, co-workers, etc.

No idea—ask at local Lab clubs, or ask your breeder?—but good luck, and welcome!

Welcome! If you were in my neck of the woods, I'd certainly recommend Mocha's vet. Ohio to California is a long commute
Welcome! I'm on the opposite side of the country but Rebecca, Thor's mom, might have an idea. Not sure how far the Fernando Valley is from San Jose?

If you can narrow down your preferred area in the Valley that would help. Once you have 10 posts you can PM me for recommendations. I'm in Burbank.
Yep, California is kinda big.
Thor's breeder was not local but had a couple of names to recommend that their previous puppy families had gone to. One of those names overlapped with both neighbor recommendations as well as very positive online reviews, so we took him there for his puppy wellness package. They are great and only 1/2 mile away!
So, talk to your breeder, friends and neighbors with dogs, and even check out the practices on Facebook. Our vet is very active there and it was nice to get a peek into the personality of the practice before we visited.
