Nell, I don't know. When I checked today, Mustang was listed as "urgent." I am not sure if enough was raised to save him....

Post subject: Mustang Lenny

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the lady who has been my contact for Mustang. She wrote me this last week. She lives in Ohio so she is another contact.

Mustang the yellow lab is quickly running out of time! He was going to be put down today, but one of the volunteers begged for more time.
Please, if you can help by making a donation, let me know! We have a rescue that will help if Mustang's vetting is covered.
Thanks in advance! Contact Jen

Lenny is still there, as far as I know. They both need to make it out. These boys are desperate!

Here is the reply that I have received from her:

Hi Kathleen,

Yes, if you can donate, Lenny and Mustang are accepted, and we just need a little more to cover Lenny's costs. Any amount will help, but we are about $50 short.
You can paypal it to Barb at guernseydogs@yahoo.com
Thanks so much!
Jen

Does anyone know what it means by them being "accepted"...I hope it means that a rescue group will be taking them. I will email her back to find out for sure.

edited to add: I sent an email to find out more about where the 2 boys are being taken and to also send a donation.

Here is a little update on these 2 boys. I recieved this email this morning and it seems as if they are safe now. I am sending a donation to cover Lenny and it seems as if Mustang was neutered yesterday :

Thank you so much for your interest and help!!!!! If you have money in your Paypal account, you can transfer it to our account our account name is guernseydogs@yahoo.com. If you would like to send a check it can be made to Pound Dog Partners address is P.O. Box 1384 cambridge, OH 43725. We are so thankful for your help. I walked into the shelter as Mustang was on his way to the back room. He was neutered yesterday!!!! Will keep you updated. Barb McD

Mustang needs $100-$120 in donations. The rescue that will help him is Animal Rescue Fund in Cinncinnati per email from Jen
Is 'Animal Rescue Fund' a group that will also place them in foster homes or is it just for financial support. I really love Lenny and am interested in finding out more about him.

Here is another reply that I recieved concerning Lenny and Mustang:

Thank you so much, Kathy!!!!! Mustang has already been neutered and they were caliing for an appointment for Lenny. Barb McD

I was reading about them on Pet Finder forum and someone said that Labs4Rescue can't take them because they don't have anyone to foster them in that area.
