Quick Note About Board Speed

I forgot to mention. We are now on a shared server while the new dedicated server gets built. Things will probably be a little slow off and on until the sever gets ready and we get ourselves on our own machine. It's not going to be permanent so bear with me.

I'm presuming the server has been provisioned by now, and you are on it. A quick check showed only two sites on the IP address. And I believe the other is also yours.

But the board speed is really really still slow. Wondering if you can do anything about it, or is it still just temporary?

There will be no dedicated server for a long time coming. The board was self sufficient mainly from various advertising directly related to archived posts and content being relevant to search engine results. That is all gone. I have to build a new SE presence which will take time.

The host has given me a couple of months free hosting on this server to get my stuff back in gear.

I agree it is terribly slow at times.

I am trying to gauge over the next few weeks what I can afford to pay on upgrades to help speed up things and then will discuss with them about what my new plan is.

I'll just have to adjust my speed to Mardi speed and enjoy life a little more.

I tweaked a few things last night and sent the host an email about the speed of the site and I will wait to hear back from them about possible solutions.

Maybe it's just my computer deciding to do something right....but the board seems a LOT faster today.

And now it doesn't.....perhaps it really was just something to do with "me". Phooey. (between IE and my security software, I should have known better than to assume anything)
