When I try to submit a post, it goes to an iPhone spam ad.

That happened to me yesterday...just once. I don't remember what the ad was. I was on my desktop/Internet Explorer.

I was on my iPad, using Safari. Everything’s working today.

I believe the page you were getting redirected to was a page that I set up to redirect users to. For example if I ban a person they get sent to that page or I redirect all Chinese traffic to that page, known spammer servers etc.

It also redirects there is a person is trying to access a page they don't have the rights to access. Something with the iPad and Safari were triggering that alert and sending you there for some reason.

Try clearing cookies and browser cache if it happens again and let me know.

I changed to page to a Vegas Freebie page. There is no harm or virus at that page.

I was just about to let you know that I can't "Reply with Quote" on anything because it gets hung up on vegassavvy.com. Is that the Vegas Freebie page?

Yes its a redirect page I use when somebody clicks something they are not supposed to. I imagine it has something to do with the server problems we have been having.

Ah. Might explain why I tried a new post just now with a photo and a hotlink to another page on the board. First got the Vegas page. When I tried again got the 'must be at least 3 characters' error and when I tried a third time and clicked preview post, the preview showed up but the editing box was grayed out. I'll try again later.

I was never able to answer the "What's the weather?" thread because it kept saying my post had to be at least 3 characters after multiple attempts to respond. I rarely have a post that short! I included no quotes, no photos or links. At the same time, I was able to respond to other posts. This was also a MacBook Air using Safari. That was a few days ago, the day it was posted. No issues since.

I really have no idea why it is redirecting. The software must confused during a slow down and think it's an error.

I have been scouting a few different hosting solutions but won't have time to sit on that for a few weeks unfortunately.

Have you tried clearing your cache and seeing if you can go back to that thread?

I could login as you and see if I can go to that thread as well.
