Venison based food

We have been having good results with Natures Logic Lamb for both Aiko and Tango. Unfortunately our local feed store is having trouble getting consistent shipments of the large bags. Rather then switch to ordering online, we are considering trying a different variety.

They recommended the venison as an option, but I have never tried venison as a protein source. I am curious if anyone has any thoughts?

Other options would be beef or Duck and Salmon

One of the foods I rotate has venison in it. My 2 do great on it.

One of the only kibbles my dog did well on was NL Venison - he's raw fed now. I love it as a protein source.

I would rather have options in case the lamb continues to be hard to find, and overall I really like NL

Unless you are having sensitive stomach issues, I see no reason not to at least try it. The only protein I won't feed in kibble is chicken. I can't really explain why, I just don't like it.

both of them have been pretty rock solid
They seemed to bee a little itchy when we initially had them on Fromm S&T, that along with the increase in price made us switch over to NL.

I am going to give it a shot and start the transition. I will keep you posted on the results

so far so good. 4 days into the transition with no problems. They are devouring their food!

Awesome! We have used all the NL varieties. Char loved the venison.

Tegan does the best on venison based foods. Its just pricey for me to feed exclusively.
