Oban started getting three meals a day due to the need to separate some meds that were all to be given with food. That was when he was sick but I kept the bedtime 1/2 cup with kefir up just because he likes it. Well, the kefir is a probiotic but I could give that at any time.

Interesting, but what are this author's qualifications for recommending any type of dog food? I don't see any indication that she is a veterinarian, an animal nutritionist or other pertinent qualifications. I certainly appreciate informed recommendations but I'm careful about who I get them from.
The comment you quote seems benign, if not particularly helpful. But the one coming right after my comment on Oban needing meds contains a link and the first food mentionned in that link would be extremely bad for Oban as it is way too high in fat for a dog with Lymphangiectasia.

I think I quoted the post that didn't have the link attached, but it was that link to which I was referring when asking about the author's qualifications.
