    Hemi Tattoo

Hey all, thanks for the rain bow bridge. I am still missing Hemi Every day. There may be another lab soon. I am on a wait list. I found a Senior Yellow Lab, 11 years they claim Big Boy, 98 lbs. Hemi was 98 lbs. I am all set up up from Camping to crawling in my bed. I can tell you this lab who was abandoned at 11 years old, if he comes home with me he will think he won the lottery.

Meanwhile. Hemi is fully in my heart and now Fully with me forever. This is a tattoo I had commissioned. He is over my heart, and that is his pawprint taken before cremation.

Hemi is home. And my will had been updated out ashes are to be mixed together and distributed at dog scout camp.
This is the source image of the tattoo. Miss him every day

If anyone is curious, spread a little love to the tattoo artist. He does phenomenal work

What a wonderful idea. It looks like Hemi is standing over you, watching over you, letting you know he's waiting, but the paw down on you to say, not just yet Jeff. It's wonderful.

That is so beautiful, I love it. Reminded me of some wise words I read recently:

But there is one best place to bury a dog. If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call - come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death, and down the well remembered path, and to your side again. And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel they shall not growl at him, nor resent his coming, for he belongs there. People may scoff at you who see no lightest blade of grass bend by his footfall, who hear no whimper, people who may never really have had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and that is well worth the knowing. The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his master.
I hope you get the big guy! I am sure if he comes to you, he will have the best life possible!

Thank you for sharing this tattoo with us, it really is meaningful to a lot of us, even though Hemi was your boy. Good luck with the possible new boy.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Awesome tat Jeff! After Pinks left us I’ve been thinking about getting a Tattoo to commemorate all my late pups but with 9 of them I’m just not sure how I want to do that. We’re on the same train of thought when it come time to go meet them.
Fingers crossed on getting the senior pup he deserves someone like you Jeff!

Beautiful! That's a very special memory of Hemi, close in and on your heart!

I hope "Big Boy" will be in your life very soon and that the two of you will build wonderful memories.
