Brooks stopped growing vertically when he was about 8 months. He hit 72 pounds at 9 months, and has been right around there since. I was looking at some pics of Sophie and Bruce, and from what I can tell Brooks is just about the same size. Bruce was 78 pounds the last time I weighed him, but he was also a couple months older than Brooks at that time. I still think Brooks will fill in a bit more, males do tend to mature slower than the girls. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts on a couple more pounds of muscle. He still has a bit of loose skin, and something will occupy that space!

We are expecting Jett to be about 85lbs or even more possibly (based on his dad’s size) He has an vet appointment for his boosters on Thursday which will be exactly 12 weeks so we’ll get an really accurate weight for him then. I’m sure he’s over 20 lbs at this point and it’s getting harder for me to carry him.

I guess all those photos I posted from photobucket no longer show up.

It's hard for me to tell if Brooks is truly big or not. He looks to be what I would consider a normal male Lab should be. Honestly with all the different looking Labs out there, I don't think my eye knows what's correct anymore. When I look at Brooks from a distance sometimes I thing he looks huge, but when he's right next to me, I think he looks small.

What I do know, is when I watch Brooks doing field work, is he looks right. Fast, athletic, like a dog that could do a days work in the field, and come back for more.

Griffin weighed 82.3 lbs today. He will be 20 months next Tuesday. I think I could probably take a couple lbs off him but I also think he'll continue to fill out a bit until he's 2+ years, so it's likely a wash. This would mean that a good weight for him will be 80lbs and he was a hair shy of 40lbs at 4 months.

He looks like a pretty solid dog.

Asher turned a year old 11/28. I had him to the vet on Saturday for a nail trim and he is still around 78lbs. Samson is 95 pounds and looks so much bigger than Asher. Makes Asher seem small. Asher is longer than Samson...Samson is taller. My mom asked me about that on vacation. She was on a loveseat and Samson would easily fit in the open spot. He would get down and Asher would jump up -- Asher wouldn't fit in the spot. I'm sure the difference is not that much but I thought it was funny my mom pointed it out. Of course I had already noticed. :-)

I used 16 weeks as the 4 month benchmark.
