Cellulitis... of the from right paw, being treated with antibiotics and Epsom Salt foot soaks and a homeopathic pill called Sialcea. Dozer’s temperature was normal, lymph nodes enlarged in his legs, and he has lost 4 pounds down from 63 to 59 pounds. We changed food awhile ago and perhaps he needs more of it than what he has been getting. I’ll increase his food and see if he can put the weight back on, he’s not a big Lab, but 59 pounds is light for him. The Vet also figures there is some sort of Contact Dermatitis going on, we just aren’t sure from what.
He’s had his first dose of meds with a snack and we are headed to soak his paws now.....all good thoughts appreciated

Poor Dozer...makes you wonder how he got this on his paws?

Hoping he heals soon and puts some weight back on.

Sending healing thoughts for your boy.

I was wondering about that when I suggested the vet...good you're getting it under control sooner rather than later. Much mojo headed your way. (foot soak sounds inviting)

I hope the meds heal Dozer. Scary not knowing what cause the spots on all four paws. Sending lots of good mojo.

Dozer has had three doses of the antibiotics.... I see a subtle improvement in the swelling of his leg and paw. He is brighter this morning, yesterday he was lethargic all day, slept except for quick potty breaks, food and foot soaks. It’s nice to see him feeling a bit better this morning already
    Thanks for the well wishes

I’ve taken a few more pictures today of Dozers feet, he seems to be developing what look like blisters or pustules, which are breaking and leaving open areas... hence the cellulitis... what’s causing the bumps we aren’t sure. Dozer has had what we believe were warts - papilloma virus around his mouth and my husband thinks these lesions looks the same to him. Doesn’t explain the white thickened areas in his paws though....

His right front paw this morning after soaking, this paw is infected and swollen

Left front paw showing the “bumps” that look like they will open

    Attachment 9502

Back paw, again with the bumps on them. Hair loss noted around all the bumps and white calloused looking areas

    Attachment 9503

He is back to sleeping, a side effect of the meds I’m hoping, he wanted to play this morning, but I want him to stay quiet to let things heal.

If things don’t settle down I think I’ll look into a Dermatologist for a consult

I'd have Dozer's face looked at, too, since that's also a spot for cellulitis. Hope you get a handle on this.

Poor guy! How does he tolerate the foot soaks? I can't see mine holding still for that, especially all feet! I thought they looked like pustules but didn't have any suggestions that hadn't already been made. I hope he heals up quickly!
