It lost it's effectiveness on the two dogs after a while. Oban was on sucralfate for a very short time, it didn't seem to help much. We also tried CBD oil for pain and I saw no improvement with it either. Oban did switch to a Holistic/Integrative Vet when none of the western meds helped his diarrhoea. We had instant success with stopping the meds (weaned off prednisone) and starting a home cooked diet of a novel protein and novel carb. Along with TCM and acupuncture. At that time, age 6 , pain was not an issue but later on, as he aged, it was and cold laser helped more than acupuncture.
Thank you. That day, which I asked this question, we went to vet and he injected Cartrophen. I was not feeling good about it because that was the first time I heard about this medicine. Then read your message and relieved. Thank you for that.
Tilya is getting weekly injections now, for 4 weeks.
At first it helped, she was surprisingly doing good. However, lately she started to be in pain. Yesterday she could not eat, could not stand or move. And after a few hours of watching her like that, I gave her a Previcox. We will discuss with the vet other pain management options.

Unfortunately, this time, the reason of vomitting was not stomach issues. Her lab results came back not good
ALT and ALP are high, might be too high. Amylase level is low, but not too low. Just below the min. ref. value.
Anyway, we started to give her gastrointestinal low fat food. Only with this food she started to be able to digest and not vomit.
Vet said her liver might get better after we stopped previcox.

I wrote a message however it was deleted somehow.
Anyway, the reason was not stomach. It is liver as I explained above
That was a surprise for me because a few months ago her levels were perfect in every aspect. Then we are here.
