Well heck. Diabetes isn't fun to treat. The special food would have been easier. Will the injections be sub-q? Or into a vein or flesh? I have done sub-q on a cat, that's the easiest.

I'm sorry to hear that. Treating diabetes in animals reminds me of the old days of treating it in humans. I doubt animal medicine is likely to reach the stage that it is now for humans. I think once you get the hang of giving the shots, that will be less of a worry.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

I have to give her shots twice a day and she is not being user friendly Giving the shot is easy if she was not hiding under my bed. We will see how this goes . The vet said it could take 2 weeks for her to stop having the peeing issues. He also said that may not resolve .
