I don't blame you for being annoyed .... hopefully they are just clueless, not as selfish as it sounds. Not bothering with them anymore does sound like a good plan going forward though!
I just left our training group in a not so happy mood. They are hunt test handlers so the set ups really don't do much for my dogs. Today I set up a working certificate test and then a set of hunt test marks for them. My dogs did not run so I threw. After the marks I set a land blind that could be adjusted so my dogs could run it (3). We went to water next. The first golden refused to pick up the long mark so there were 2 bumpers on it so one of the other handler picked them up as a blind and then ran the marks. The next golden again refused to pick up the long mark (it was only about 40 yds so he had his older dog pick up. We then ran 2 tollers on the marks. I ask one of the fellows that was going out to throw to put 3 bumpers down for my dogs to just run a water blind no marks. I came in to get the dogs ran my young dog and there are the other 2 handlers with their dogs out to run the blinds. I was not happy, I had thrown all morning for them, my dogs had run one land blind and waited to the end to run the water blinds and now there were no bumpers for them. I just left and told them I would go out and run the blinds by myself later. What I had wanted to do for their dos was to place the blind away from the marks so their dogs would not be going back to the old fall area but they just couldn't wait. I have decided that Wed training days will be for them and I will not go out but will train with a field trial group in the evening. I also pay a young man to train with me two days a week, they have all had the benefit of him on Wednesday without any charge (no charge to train at any time) I guess it is close to the end of the season and I am tired but their lack of fair play today got to me. I need a break from them.
Sorry for being such an old grouch.

I totally understand. You have every right to feel slighted.

I feel your pain. There's a group I train with on Monday's and there are normally six handlers there. Three of them have 3 dogs each, one has two dogs, and two of us have one. I'll run Brooks and then it will be out in the field to throw while the others run dog after dog. It does get pretty annoying, especially when they want to re-run marks and/or are having various issues with a given dog. The only reason I put up with it is the training grounds are pretty spectacular, and it's the only place I can train with a true technical pond.
