Well, the little yellow ape is graduating from the T-field. If you figure that Obedience and Collar Conditioning is Pre-School, Force Fetch and early singles 1st through 2nd grade, Force to pile 3rd, stopping and handling 4th through 6th... my little girl is moving on to cold blinds and in-the-field school blinds. The pro says she is clearly maturing and has a great work ethic.
Many miles to go but she's making great progress.
Isn't it fun watching the evolve?!
What I really like about Mark (TX pro) is that he tries very hard to keep all of his T-field dogs working with totally positive feedback. They jump off the truck wagging their tails and looking for that far pile. It's really a misnomer to call it Force to Pile.
Yeah nothing pains me more than seeing a dog that's submitting and shutting down because it's had way too much pressure put on them when they were training. They SHOULD be all happy and tail wagging coming off the truck!
Missed this earlier. Sounds like your little one is coming along great guns. You should have a very exciting season next year.
Training for field work certainly has evolved, the emphasis is now on teaching and momentum and not the old "boot, shoot and electrocute " mentality.
Can't wait to get the girls out. We are all really out of shape.
