Since we are being hit by a prolonged heat wave (Sonic is not a fan, and me neither), I took the plunge and took him on his first camping trip. He did fine for the most part. However since it was the weekend, the place was full of people so he had to be on the long line for the most part (but mornings and evenings were great!). Sonic had a blast, he loves water so much.

It's always fun to see your pups having fun in the water. Sonic looks like he "understood the assignment" on how to behave on his first camping trip. The water looks so clean and clear where you go camping and maybe the current isn't too strong. I haven't found a spot like that for our dogs yet.
We were at the beach recently and in general mine enjoy swimming out through the waves to retrieve a training bumper. They have all learned to jump through the breakers as if they knew what to do. You can tell they're finished with the game when they either swim to the bumper and come back without it or decide not to go get it at all. The days when they post rip current warnings we do not throw the bumpers into the water. Henry loves to lie in the surf at the shoreline, Joey just runs back and forth.
Sonic has grown to be a very handsome young lad! Looks like he had a great time!
Sorry, I missed your post.
So glad that you and Sonic enjoyed your camping trip. It looks like you both had fun .
