Red face The Dog Days of Summer of '19

Since summer is coming to its end (when I was a kid, summer would always end for me when school started on September 1st), I made a video of our summer memories. We saw new places, we camped for the first time, we swam, we played with friends, and we went for beautiful walks and hikes.

In two weeks we are leaving for Greece, so swimming season will not be over for us yet, (hopefully) until October.

Cookie has turned 13 this summer and, knock on wood, he is still doing well. I hope he continues to do well, and be the happy pup he is now.

    Enjoy!

Such a great video. You should really think about writing a book about your “Adventures with Cookie.” I love the guy from all the awesome photos you post and I bet readers would fall in love with him too if you captured all your awesome adventures in a book!

Love love this! Swimming, sleeping in front of the tent, lounging in the tent, kitty strolls by. Sweet Cookie! I love you!

What a great summer! I wish my 2 would lie calmly at the beach and leave others alone. Mine would be too busy visiting (and annoying) new friends. Even Chase used to go over and zero in on whatever bag people had brought snacks in. Your summer looks like it has been a lot of fun for both of you!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

The music was called "Nothing funner than summer", I thought it was suitable!

Now, about the book. I thought about it, maybe a photo-book promoting nature and national parks that would make people think about visiting these areas? Otherwise a book about our adventures would be pretty boring, LOL

Smartrock, don't think Cookie doesn't go to other people, but I guess he has developed the ability to tell who will give him a scratch, and who won't, so he is selective! He doesn't touch other peoples' food though, I was very insisting since he was a puppy that he only gets fed from his plate. He did try to beg, but stopped it since he wasn't getting anything.
