My Grandson's first Hunt Test

My grandson Hayden, who is 13 years old has been going to training with me for the past few years. About 6 months ago we were at a club training day and a friend of mine asked Hayden he he would like to try and run her dog, a nice yellow girl named Charm. He did and she has been letting him run her at various training days since then. She was kind enough to offer Hayden the opportunity to run Charm at our spring Hunt Test in Junior and he was very excited to do this. I got him signed up with the AKC as a Junior Handler but not sure it these will count as we do not have any ownership interest in the dog per AKC regs.

Hayden did a very good job today and earned a passing score with Charm. I'm very proud of the hard work he's put in to accomplish this, and I'm hoping it's sparked a lifelong love of this sport.
