    Stomach issues

My dog had been throwing up since Saturday on and off. I took her to the vet today ans she said she looked normal but she gave her anti nausea shot and the below medications . My vet told me that my dog can’t eat anything for 12 hours .. My dog was fine but no she is lethargic and has no Appetite. On google it said the side effects are loss of appetite and lethargic but I am worried . Please look at below pics. I will call my vet again tomorrow morning . Have any of you gone through this ?

I would be very worried. Is it possible she ate something that is causing an obstruction? I would call your Vet first thing in the morning...but if you feel she is very sick, you may want to take her to your local Emergency Vet.

Ditto the obstruction worry. Has she pooped? Nice, solid poops? Runny, watery poops may make it past an obstruction. Does she want to eat?

This morning she had good solid poop and peed and ate little bit of food that vet gave. I was allowed to give her only a half a cup.. other than that she is still mellow and is resting.. I will call my vet just in case ...

Those meds are not uncommon for upset stomach and fasting a dog for 12-24 hours that has been vomiting is pretty standard as well. Sucralfate is supposed to coat the stomach, omeprazole cuts down on stomach acid and flagyl, aka metronidazole, is a type of antibiotic. It sounds like they think she has gastritis.

If she continues to be unwell or can't keep her food down I'd check in with the vet. I've had several dogs eat things they shouldn't and if she's not improving, the next thing they'd probably want to do are some x-rays to see if it looks like anything is blocking her intestines.

Ahh thank you for your detailed information about the medications I didn’t know that.. she had good solid poop this morning and peed. Vet gave me low fat wet food and I am allowed to give half a cup only today and then increase everyday and incorporate her dry food from Thursday onwards .. I am so relieved to see her so well. Was up all night checking in on her .. can’t see my baby sick .. she was so sad last night
