Well then, it does sound different. Oban was 8 weeks, 10 pounds and only half that amount of food, 1.5 cups a day. I increased his food three times before he hit 5 months and his weight tripled in that time.
Well, this is an interesting thread. Henry came home on 3 cups/day of PPP puppy c&r and has transitioned to PPP Sport 26/16, all at the breeder's recommendation. I recently asked the breeder how much her keeper boy is eating now that they're 14-15 weeks old and he is getting >4 cups per day. I wanted an estimate of how much I should be feeding. Henry will eat 4 cups a day, he'd probably eat more, but soft poops are an ongoing issue still. "Food for thought" I guess.

My boys have always come home on around three cups a day. The other two were bigger (17 lbs @ 8 weeks and 25 lbs at 10 weeks). 1.5 cups seems like such a tiny amount for a Lab puppy, but Oban sounds a lot smaller. If he was 30 lbs at 5 months, well, presto surpassed that before 4 months, and my other two were well into the forties by then.
What raw do you feed?
