Changed food

I moved Molly from a puppy food to an all stages food. Im wondering if I did it too early. Only issue I have noticed is that she is not eating much. It has me a bit concerned. she went from 2.5 to 3 cups a day of puppy food and is now eating about 1 to 1-5 cups of the all stages food. Do you think I should thake the week and move her back to her puppy food?

Keep an eye on her body condition and adjust appropriately.

She is 7 months. She has also only soley neen on the new food for 4-5 days

7 months is okay to change to ALS. I would just keep an eye on her. If her poops are loose, cut back, if she looks a little skinny, add more.

She may also be getting to a stage where she doesn't need as much food. I never had that happen with my Lab, but I've read of it happening to other people's pups.

Bacon went through a stage around a year old when he didnt eat as much, then his needs went back up, and he eats 2 cups of his Fromm at each meal. Just keep an eye on her body condition. molly will most likely let you know if she needs more food!

I had asked my Vet when I can switch to adult food and was told not till a year old but I guess all vets are different. I did however switch to a higher quality food (Castor & Pollux) and she has been getting a little less. I've noticed that her stools are more solid with the new food.

I think it just took a few days she is doing great on the new food.
