    New pup.....

Brought home a new male lab pup today. Beginning of a new era as I had to put down my old black lab in July. He was a good one and lived to 13. But life must go on and a new buddy will be good for me. So far so good but tonight could be interesting. Ha. Oh yes.....named him Hogan after Ben Hogan. Yes...... I'm a golfer. The lighting not too good in the first pic. He zonked out after a 2 hour drive.

Such a cute little guy! I don't know the golfer, our governor is named Hogan and as I started to read that phrase about who you named him for, that crossed my mind for a microsecond. Wasn't sure why someone from Mississippi would name their dog for the governor of Maryland. Congratulations and get out your puppy clothes for when those sharp little teeth are put into action! I'm sorry for the loss of your old guy. Thirteen years is a good long life but to us, never seems long enough. I'm sure Hogan will keep you occupied.

Aw gee, I'm so sorry Micah is gone from this earth. Oban is too, June this year. Congrats on your new little Hogan. I don't golf and first thought of Hogan's Heroes, that old TV show. And Hulk Hogan. We need more pictures. Please.

Sorry for your loss too. Micah wasn't a pure lab....got him from a rescue group. But he was laid back from day one(13 months old at the time). Fit my personality perfectly. So I'm jumping from a cool calm pond into the fire with a new pup. But he hasn't tinkled in the house yet and he is learning how to sit on command. I think he will be a good one too. I will post more pics soon. Thanks for all the other nice comments.

Hi again, sorry to read of your loss of Micah. He did good to make it to 13 years old.
Congrats on your new addition Hogan! He's very cute! Have fun with Hogan!!

We, too, got another black Lab pup (girl) after Opal died, so now we have Ursa 10 yo and Loua 1 yo. Talk about the difference in age, Ursa - gentle, sweet and calm, Loua - a heavy-weight bulldozer, lol, but she's getting better and sweeter.
