    Sonic 5 months old!

Well, he is actually turning 5 months old tomorrow, but these pictures are from today for technical reasons (tomorrow being Monday we'll be walking in the dark).

So, a new thread for Sonic's next month!

He's a cutie-pie all right. Why will Monday be darker than today? Sonic is very light in colour, easier to see in the dark than the chocolate and black dogs.

Because I'll have to be at work till 4 and when we get out at 5 it will be too dark already for nice photographs.

Sonic sure is cute and photogenic, and he appears to love his walks!
He looks long on his legs, but the tip of his tail is just past his hocks, so he won't grow much taller by the time he's adult size.
    Have fun you two .

Yes, he's all legs right now, we'll see how he turns out. He also has a long-ish tail. Growing puppies are all sorts of awkward

Ah, thought maybe you were just going off Daylight Savings Time. It's the dumbest thing, we save daylight in summer when we have more anyway and give it up in winter when the days are shorter.

Nope, it was the last Sunday of October. The only good thing with changing clocks is that it won't be dark till 8 am. Somehow dark mornings are harder for me than dark afternoons.

He appears to have a fairly long twizzle on the end of his tail, if that matters to his expected growth and how long his tail is. I've never heard anything about the length of a dog's tail correlating to how tall they get. Can you explain that to me?

We don't often let our dogs off leash to walk around like you can Sonic. We do at the beach some but we worry that their joy at meeting new people is too much for some, and this is not an area where everyone welcomes such an enthusiastic greeting from 2 large (~38 kg) dogs. And 2 large WET black dogs is even less welcomed.

What a little sweetheart...he looks like he pays serious attention to you.

I'm glad Sue pointed out the twizzle...her eyes are sharper than mine are, obviously. Twizzles are so endearing.

FWIW, our first Lab Brutus was one of those shortish but long-bodied and big-boned beasts. His tail was unusually long, though...not just compared to the shorter legs, I don't think. We got him "used" and I never knew his background (and the man we got him from, his second owner, had misplaced his papers). I daresay he didn't come from good breeding stock. Marvelous gentle dog, though.
