    Thank you everyone for your helpful tips!! He did it once and then stopped again so I think he just needs to gain his confidence on it again and we will look into a runner to help him out

    Mine took issue with our wooden stairs because I think the (lack of) lighting on them made it really difficult for her depth perception, so she couldn't define where each step started and finished! We added some lighter-coloured carpet strips and the problem was solved. Like others said, it could also have to do with her new dimensions.
