Oh Sue, just seeing this now. I’m so very sorry. It seems like just yesterday you were telling us about Chase’s sudden loss. This sucks so much.

A tardy and heartfelt I'm so sorry. My brother, a fellow dog person, once said this:

It really sucks that our dear four legged friends will almost certainly die before we do. Even knowing that I would not give up the love, affection, friendship and fun they give us. There is a sign in the kennel where I board my dogs that sums up my feelings about dogs: "If dogs don't go to heaven I want to go where they go"

I am so sorry to read this. For me, it is the hardest thing I have had to deal with in sharing our lives with these magnificent creatures.

Rest In Peace gorgeous Lark, knowing how much you are loved.

    Take care.

Sue - I am so late to see this. I am so sorry to hear about Lark. It's really hard to lose them. I lost Charlie just two weeks ago. My heart is broken. Hugs to you

Oh Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about Charlie. Sweet Charlie. Sending you hugs as well. You may have seen that we now have a half brother of Henry, who joined us this summer. His name is Joey. He's a sweetheart but so much energy!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
