Hi all! I deal with Anxiety, Depression and am in " REAL NEED" of acquiring an Lab! It would be an ESA ( Emotional Support Animal). I live in Palmyra, Pa.' Wondering if anyone HAS a really good- matured, friendly, older Lab that you are looking to " re- house", due to moving, Thankssssss! ( Am new here, and been looking for 2 months now)!

I'm might come across as abrasive so sorry in advance. You are looking for an ESA a Lab to be specific for under $100. Most reputable rescues charge more than that. What are you planning on feeding this support animal do you have money to vet it if it needs to go? Why a lab almost any breed would be great as being an ESA. How much money are you anticipating spending on you fur companion a month. These are all questions you should be asking yourself. What if the dog needs training do you have the funds to support your requirements for an ESA. If the fog you adopt does not suit your needs will you keep it?

You've asked all the great questions! Limited income, for one.True! Other wonderful breeds to look for, Molly! Have been looking into them( not enough room to write a book in, so..apologies for leaving that out)! True about the $. ' Just don't wanna spend " an arm and a leg" for a dog.Yes to all other questions. It will be taken care of very much so! I'm Not working, but wife is and together, it would be cared for well!!
There will be $ to cover monthly costs( family members would help!!) If it needs further training, Vet....One thing at a time to deal with.No worries.Thank for helping me " think things thru"![emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

the concern is vetting is very expensive. $100 in many areas won't you get much for veting. take a few months of simulating those expenses to save up a bit more.Then take a few EXTRA months to save up a nest egg "in case of emergency". Plus training.

it's not just one thing at a time, you need to have a plan for all these expenses before getting a dog. an emergency nest egg, some for training and some for the purchase price.

You need a special dog that is the right fit. not just any dog. this is not the time to get cheap on adoption fee. rescues put in a ton of money to vet and care for dogs in their care and run on donations. this is why their adpotion fee (depending on area) is much higher than $100. Note that a un-vetted dog that is under 100 will likely cost you much more to get them up to date VS an adopted dog that is $250-300 (or more depending where you are) that IS fully vetted and assessed.
