13-Year Old Chocolate Lab in Burnaby, BC

I’ve looked at the BCSPCA website regularly for years. Perhaps it wasn’t such a wise thing to do this week. If you live in the lower mainland area of Vancouver, this senior lab might be for you. I’m so glad he’s in foster because he’s 13.

“Beau is a wonderful chocolate boy with a fun outgoing personality. He isn't a couch potato and loves staying active. He is good with most dogs and has lived successfully with cats. He is currently in foster care as Beau is quite anxious being left alone. He would be an ideal dog for an active retired person. This boy can be vocal and expressive so apartment living may not be ideal unless he is rarely alone. If you are interested in Beau please inquire first as he is foster care due to his anxiety.”

Wow he's gorgeous! If I didn't live clear across the country Santa might have brought me another dog this year. I hope he finds a forever home soon!

To be honest, I gave Beau some serious thought but for some reason, this time I don’t feel up to learning to love a new dog while missing mine. At least Beau’s in foster care and not in the kennels (for all the good care the SPCA staff and volunteers give).

I will however check on him daily until he’s adopted, and let you know here. The description reminds me of Boomer. If Boomer had white on his face, I think he’d look like Beau.

I really miss Boomer.

I hope someone lovely adopts Beau soon.
