    Dear Secret Santa...

The box you sent has arrived! It got here a couple of days ago but Mom is making us wait. She always does that, wait to go outside, wait to start eating, wait, don't drag her down the street to see that other dog. We're used to waiting so we will wait. We just wanted to let you know we have something here to wait for!

    Your friends,

    Lark and Henry
    Sue

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Dear Secret Santas, Kleb, Mr Kleb, Lucy, and Fitzi!

It has taken our pokey Mom a few days to get to this letter, even though we have been telling her she needed to get on it. We loved, loved, loved our Secret Santa gifts! They were the most perfectly perfect ones you could have found for us! We're not too sure about the dog soap- are you implying we might need a little touch up here or there? Actually, you are right, we have been splashing through mud puddles this rainy week. We have decided the Tricky Treat ball and the Wubba Tug toy should be shared by both of us. We actually think they should only belong to one of us by ourselves but Mom says we have to share. And those balls are the perfect size. The treats you sent fit in the tricky treat ball but Mom said we can't eat them all in one day, so she has been doling them out. We are happy our grandsisters (human) were visiting us because they like to give us many, many, many treats, so we have eaten most of them already. Mom wanted to take a video of us chasing around the treat ball but our grandsisters were trying to help us and Mom said because of the running and shrieking, it was Just Too Much. Mom will try to put a few pictures of us, if she can get this to work. If not, I know you like to post pictures so maybe you can give Mom some hints. Also, Mom said to tell you she loves, loves, loves the way you wrapped our gifts in dish towels and those sweet little fabric gift bags!

    Sincerely, Lark and Henry!

We are so glad Lark and Henry enjoyed their Secret Santa gifts. Fitzi and Lucy were a little jealous with the toys, they thought they should stay with them. I couldn’t resist the dog drool soup. Seemed a perfect human gift to include. I’m a big fan of not using gift wrap if I can help it.
As Berna said, it looks like the box was a big hit. Lucy is the same way, she takes boxes, toilet paper rolls, paper bags, what ever she can find in the recycling box and shreds it.

There is no rule that Christmas has to be on December 25th!

Fitzi and Lucy were thrilled that the sleigh delivered! They loooved the bacon bones.

The Old Bay Seasoning is very much appreciated because it can be hard to find here.

Thanks very much to our Secret Santa for your kindness and generosity.

I'm so glad it finally arrived! I've been looking at the USPS tracking information every single day and now I can close that tab on my browser. I was glad I hadn't baked any of the treats myself- 6+ weeks at the post office would not have enhanced them in any way. Otterbein's cookies are baked locally, so close enough, and tastier! Hooray! Happy January 19th Day!
