Hope he does well with his new meds. It's somewhat comforting that they probably don't know there's a problem and go on living their happy lives as we worry about them. Stay happy, Cookie!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Hopefully the confirmation provides you with some certainty as to next steps and the new medication and harness will help both you and Cookie. Good thoughts to your gorgeous boy. He is lucky to have such a devoted Mum.

Thank you guys. Cookie is doing okay. He has an episode once in about two weeks (last time it was 2.5 weeks, yay!) but is otherwise fine for an almost 15 year old Lab. We just got back from a camping trip, Cookie enjoyed it so much.

Hunter (15) went though the same thing and there is not much they (the drs can do). Yes, hunts had so many medications to keep him calm (with the same thing as Cookie) but they also wouldn't work the whole time also to keep him calm. It is not easy time for any dog owner!
