What do you think this is under Ursa's chin?

We first noticed this bump last week Tuesday when she was rubbing her chin on the grass, concrete and carpet, it was then about the size of a nickel, now it's the size of a 1/2 boiled egg, having grown more this weekend. It's hard to the touch and feels warm. We thought it is/was an insect bite, but now we're not sure. It's causing Ursa pain and is very itchy. Treating it with Epson salt washes, letting it dry and then applying polysporin several times a day. Also giving her 1/2 antihistamines pills here and there.

I've requested a vet appointment ASAP, but we're ready to go the emerg if needed - if it breaks open. So far it's oozing a little, but with no blood.

Thanks for your insight on this .

Editing to attach a pic. Oh crap, it's upside down, but I think you can see it.
Editing again, I know, she's our gray-haired old girl, but she's still the same Ursa we love.

No idea, just hoping it's nothing concerning. Sending good thoughts and keep us posted.

Well, I got some Bald Faced Hornet stings last year that really swelled up and were itchy as heck. A couple pretty close together. Not that swollen up, but itched for weeks. Looked a bit like that. Yes, Vet.

    Update and it's good news!

My sis took Ursa into see Dr. Wanda at 5:00pm today and if Ursa was a puppy, she has what's called 'puppy strangles', in senior dog's it's called 'cellulitis'. No cyst, tumor or infected tooth abscess.

Ursa is on oral and topical antibiotics for 10 days, with a quick follow-up with Dr. Wanda via email and a photo on Wednesday morning and a possible clinic visit on Thursday morning, if a needle aspiration is needed, if no improvements, otherwise we go forward as planned.

Funny story; before we go into the vet clinic with our girls (especially with Ursa), we go in and check if it's busy or if there are any aggressive dogs, if yes, we wait in the car for one of the front desk ladies to come and get us when it's our appointment time. Yes, there was a "reactive Rottie" today coming out, so sis and Ursa waited in the car. Then after the visit, we bring Ursa or Loua to the car and go back in to pay the bill. After today's visit, the waiting room was full of younger dogs, so sis said to Dr. Wanda, "I'll wait here with Ursa until the room clears out a bit", Dr. Wanda says, "oh, I'll take care of that", she raises her arms and says "excuse me everyone, we have a senior coming through the waiting room, so can everyone please move to the sides to make room for her". Talk about Queen-like service! It was the parting of the red sea for Ursa and she went out without a hitch, lol. One lady said "I'll bring my dog to my car" ( a younger black Lab), and when she saw Ursa getting into the back of sis' SUV, she said "awwww, she really is a senior (about Ursa), and asked her age and said she once also had a 14 year old Lab herself. Thanks Dr. Wanda for helping Ursa all these years from when Ursa was a 2 months old puppy until now at 14 years old...so touching and special!!

So that's the update for now, mostly good news for Ursa .

    Thanks for your well wishes!!!

    Another update.
Ursa's chin bump is slowly shrinking thanks to the meds and our cleaning treatments 3X a day. We're using the donut-cone to stop her from rubbing her chin.
