Talking Photos from Trip to Nova Scotia

My wife and I started our tour of Canada this summer with a trip to Nova Scotia. We stayed in Halifax and day tripped to Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. We flew in just as Hurricane Erin was passing by. It made for some interesting weather.

This was our first trip to the Maritimes and everything they say is true. The landscape is gorgeous, the people are the friendliest, Halifax is the cleanest city we have visited and the food and drink as over the top.

Newfoundland is next on our list.

Iconic Peggy's Cove - We hit it early in the morning and pretty much had the place to ourselves. I photoshopped twenty people out of this photo.

Mahone Bay - The three Churches. Lovely little town and the best lobster roll I will probably ever have.

Lunenburg - Was packed with tourists. We didn't stay long but enough to walk the pier and see the Bluenose II leave port.

    Thanks Everyone!!

Cool photos! Photoshopping people out of your pictures sounds like a trick I need to learn. That made a great, clean photo. I also like the last photo with the colorful buildings.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

The colours are pretty cool. Originally, for fisherman to identify the towns or harbours in the fog. I also read it helps with heating and cooling with the sun rays reflecting.

We kind of learned later that towns like Lunenburg are meant to be seen from the water to get the full effect.

We are looking forward to Jellybean Row when we visit St. John's next summer.
