As I'm not a big TV person and have an interest in books and music, I'm often looking for something new or different to read or listen to. If you want to share, that would be cool. I'll start:

Currently reading: Rise of the Warrior Cop by Radley Balko

Currently listening to: iTunes playlist of all the Bad Religion and Foo Fighters I have.

Currently reading: Under the Dome by Stephen King. Next up: One of the following - The Two Income Trap; Why Managing S**ks; Champlain's Dream; or a Joe DiMaggio biography.

ETA: I saw Rise of the Warrior Cop at the library; your post reminded me to put a hold on it.

Currently listening to: Just finished Help (yes, the Beatles), transferred from vinyl to cassette. Up next: the lawn mower (need to mow the lawn).

I am liking it. Enjoy the way he draws characters, not only in this book but most of them.

The last TV, not streamed, I remember watching was the 2010 Winter Olympics. We have no cable or satellite, only OTA. During the winter months we check out a lot of movies from the library. From about April to November we spend a loooooot of time outside.

Under the Dome, enjoyed immensely.

Just finished The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin, The 9th Girl by Tami Hoag, and The Boy in the Suitcase by Lene Kaaberbol. I listen to a lot of books on tape when driving or doing things around the house (like perusing the Lab Board ) and I just had a 6 1/2 hour drive to and back from NC. I liked the sweet little story of AJ Fikry but the reader had such an annoyingly measured pace that I could have finished the book in about half the time if I had read it, read it. The other two were very satisfactory for passing the time while on a long drive. I didn't think I liked John Sandford books and haven't really read any of his Lucas Davenport (Prey series) books but I have listened to or read all his Virgil Flowers books and like them a lot.

Listening to? If not books, then usually NPR radio.

I've been bad, no reading lately. The last thing I read were some stories by Brian Harmon. I don't know if they are full books or just stories. I downloaded them on my kindle.

I've been re-reading the Harry Potter books. On number 4 now. I usually read something in-between each, the last book was The Lone Survivor. Great book.

I just put the iphone on shuffle and let it rip!

He does write full books. I'm in the middle of the Rushed series. Very well written and engaging. His stories are not the type I normally read, but the characters are well developed, normal, and likable. Despite the series being a little unrealistic (think modern day Indiana Jones) they are intriguing.
